Accra College of Education (AcCE) proudly hosted the Foundational Learning Action Tracker (FLAT) 2025 launch on 27th October 2025, a prestigious global education event championed by UNICEF, the Ministry of Education, and other key international and national stakeholders.

Held under the inspiring theme “Learning Today, Unlocking Tomorrow,” the event underscored the vital role of foundational learning as the cornerstone for lifelong educational achievement. The FLAT tool, developed in 2023 by UNICEF in collaboration with the Hempel Foundation, serves as an innovative mechanism to track government efforts in strengthening foundational learning systems through the use of data and evidence-based insights to enhance student learning outcomes.

The FLAT2025 launch brought together global and national education leaders, policymakers, development partners, and educators to engage in strategic discussions on improving the quality of basic education. Participants explored innovative approaches to empower teachers, make classrooms more engaging, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
Speaking at the event, representatives from UNICEF and the Ministry of Education reaffirmed their commitment to supporting governments in building stronger education systems that prioritize the learning needs of every child, particularly at the foundational level.

The successful hosting of FLAT 2025 at Accra College of Education highlights Ghana’s leadership in the global drive toward inclusive, data-driven, and quality foundational education for all children.
