The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for Aywaso West Wougon, Mr. John Dumelo paid a visit to Accra College of Education on Monday, June 29, 2020 to donate face mask to the students and staff of the College.
Mr. Dumelo on his arrival with his entourage were warmly welcomed by the Principal of the College, Dr. Samuel Awinkene Atintono.
Dr. Atintono in his welcome address, expressed how delighted he was with the second official visit of John Dumelo. He further explained that the Vice Principal and the College Secretary were absent as a result of an official duty they were attending to.
John Dumelo in his address, spoke about how important Teacher’s Education in the constituency and the country as a whole means to him. He continued by laying down some importance of Teacher Education in the country. He further said that Teachers are the drivers of the economy and in view of that needed more attention and care from the government and leaders which is why he has Accra College of Education at heart since its within his constituency.
Mr. Dumelo finally advised the staff and students present to place Ghana first ahead of partisan politics if we want to grow and develop the country. After it all said, Mr. Dumelo presented face mask to the College and urged each and every one to register for the voters Identification Card since Accra College of Education has been made a polling / registration center and they the staff and students wouldn’t have to go far for their registration.
The Principal of the College, Dr. Samuel Awinkene Atintono finally wished John Dumelo the very best in the upcoming elections and also admonished him to preach peace wherever he goes.
