Accra College of Education on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, hosted the official launch of the Colleges of Education E-Learning Platform, marking a significant step forward in Ghana’s efforts to modernize and strengthen teacher education through digital innovation.
The event, held at the College Auditorium, brought together key stakeholders in the education sector, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, principals of colleges of education, tutors, students, and development partners.

Representing the Honorable Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, the Deputy Minister for Education, Clement Apaak, officially launched the platform. In his keynote address, he emphasized that the introduction of the e-learning platform reflects the Ministry’s commitment to preparing future teachers who are not only academically competent but also equipped with the digital skills required to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.
He noted that the platform will play a vital role in ensuring equitable access to quality learning resources across all colleges of education in Ghana. According to him, it will also enhance collaboration among tutors and institutions while promoting innovation in pedagogy, assessment, and research nationwide.
The Deputy Minister commended the Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) and its partners for their leadership, vision, and sustained collaboration in bringing the initiative to fruition. He further assured stakeholders of the Ministry’s continued support to ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and long-term sustainability of the platform.

The launch of the Colleges of Education E-Learning Platform represents a major milestone in Ghana’s education transformation agenda and aligns with broader national efforts to integrate technology into teaching and learning. The platform is expected to improve the quality of teacher preparation, promote flexible learning opportunities, and strengthen institutional collaboration across the colleges of education.
As host of the historic event, Accra College of Education reaffirmed its commitment to embracing digital innovation and supporting initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, and research within the college and across the teacher education sector in Ghana.
