AcCE ’99 Year Group Donates to Alma Mater

On Friday, October 9, 2020 the 1999 year group of Accra College of Education (AcCE), formally Accra Training College (ATRACO) donated some educational items to the institution to aid teaching and learning in the College.

The delegation, which was led by the Vice President of the AcCE Alumni group and a Tutor of the College, Madam Pearl Adiza Baba were welcomed by the Vice Principal of the College Mrs. Elizabeth Aikins at the College conference room.

 Mrs. Aikins in her welcome address mentioned that the 1999 year group were the first batch of teacher trainees she taught in training College.  She was filled with excitement seeing the students she taught return to their alma mater to donate educational support items after twenty(20) years of leaving the walls of the school.

The 1999 year group after their welcoming came forward to share their experience and the positive impact the College has made in their lives. They went ahead to donate the educational items to the College. The items were, an extra large size projector, a laptop, laptop bag, and two (2) soccer balls.

The Principal of the College Dr. Samuel Awinkene Atintono expressed so much appreciation to the 1999 year group. In his address, he made mention that AcCE has made him a better person even though he is not an alumni of the College. According to him, Prof. Christopher Okpoti Adjei who is the President of the AcCE Alumni taught him Mathematics during his University days at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW). Therefore, a product of AcCE has contributed to his achievements

The 1999 year group not forgetting their root joined together and sung the College’s anthem with joy.
